Conditions Of Entry
Selina’s provides a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons and staff.
These General Conditions of Entry are applicable to all visitors, patrons and staff attending the Venue and are subject to change without notice, based on specific event requirements at the sole discretion of Selina’s.
SELINAS ENTRY IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Pass-Outs may not be issued.
In the instance that pass-outs are issued, patrons will be forced to re-queue and re-entry is not guaranteed.
Food & Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from Selina’s by patrons.
Patrons wishing to bring personal items into Selina’s do so at their own risk. Selina’s will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property.
Selina’s reserves the right to inspect & search bags of all persons who enter or exit the venue, regardless of size.
Patrons who cause a disturbance or refuse to comply with requests made by Selina’s staff, team or security members will be evicted from Selina’s.
In accordance with the Smoke-Free Environment Act 2000 No.69, Selina’s is a smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Venue.
Any patron who refuses to comply, will be removed from the Venue.
Selina’s may utilise audio and visual recording equipment to record the event.
The image or likeness of visitors, patrons, delegates, and workers may be captured, and these images and recordings may be utilised by Selina’s in the future.
The Coogee Bay Hotel & Selina’s is monitored by a 24-Hour CCTV network, persons entering the Venue acknowledge this.
Under the Civil Liabilities Act 2002 No 22, general admission crowds and general access may cause recreational risk. All patrons purchasing tickets or attending events within the Venue are asked to assess their own risk prior to entry.
RESTRICTED / PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following restricted / prohibited items are not permitted into Selina’s:
- Animals (Guide dogs excluded)
- Items considered illegal or dangerous
- Surfboards, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades or bicycles
- Selfie sticks, gimbals or tripods.
- Any form of audio recording device
- Aerosol cans, paint, stickers or texta pens
- Drinks of any kind, including bottled water
- Glass (containers, bottles, glasses)
- Drugs
- Weapons of any kind e.g. knives, guns
- Professional or enthusiast level photographic equipment (inc DSLR’s, Mirrorless, Micro 2/3rd, Medium Format, Film SLR, Compact Cameras & Polaroid or similar)
- Laser Lights and pens
LIQUOR LICENSING
All persons entering Selina’s are advised that:
- They are entering a licensed premises.
- Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter.
- It is an offence to purchase liquor for (or supply liquor to) minors.
- Persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the Police and penalties apply under the Liquor Act 2007.
- Valid proof of identification is required for access to 18+ areas of venue and licensed events.
- Selina’s supports the responsible service of alcohol.
- Persons in possession of liquor will not be permitted to enter.
- Checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor from entering.
- Intoxicated persons will be removed from the premises immediately.
- It is an offence for minors to purchase and consume liquor.
REFUSAL OF ENTRY
For the safety and enjoyment of all patrons, Selina’s management reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons.
- Refuse entry to any patrons without appropriate, current & valid identification.
- As a minimum for general admission, patrons must be appropriately clothed for a public place and must wear shoes.
- Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated and / or disorderly.
Responsible Service
Selina’s is committed to the responsible service of alcohol and gaming to ensure a healthy, safe, and friendly environment for our customers and team members in accordance with all regulatory requirements and community expectations including:
- Provision of responsible service of alcohol and gaming support policies, procedures and information for our customers and team members.
- Developing and implementing initiatives to minimise harm associated with misuse and/or abuse of alcohol.
- Providing support for any customers with acknowledged problem excess alcohol issues.
- Provision of a healthy, safe, and friendly environment for our customers and team members
